RS Feva Class Grand Prix at the BSC July 4th and 5th

Calling all sailing club members your help is needed. The Feva class are holding a Grand Prix at our club on the weekend of July 4th and 5th. It will be a very busy couple of days for the club and we have a number of jobs that we need help with over the weekend from directing parking for visitors, galley food and drink, first aid, and launching/manning safety boats. We are expecting in excess of 40 boats and as a youth class there will be plenty of spectators in attendance. There will be a BBQ and entertainment on Saturday evening (£7.50 a ticket for adults, £5 for children) and members are welcome to attend. There are also club fevas available to borrow for the weekend if you don’t have your own Feva and would like to race. We also need donations of cakes to sell over the weekend and salads to go with the BBQ. Club members who volunteer to do lots on Saturday and Sunday will get their BBQ at a big discount.

If you can help (even for a short time) over the weekend then please email club secretary Abi Davies secretary@burnhamsc.co.uk

RS Elite Outlaw

RS ELITE – OUTLAW

Some members of the Burnham Elite Fleet have purchased Outlaw, the RS Elite that came second in last year Nationals!

She is now at the RBYC and ready to sail.

The owners are very keen for it to be used as much as possible and invite members from the Burnham clubs to come and sail this great boat on a Saturday, Sunday or Wednesday evening.

There is also the opportunity of chartering the boat for the RS Elite Nationals. This year they are in Lymington – a great venue – from July 29th to August 2nd. This could always be followed by Cowes Week! They have already been approached by Lymington sailors but would prefer it to be used by  Burnham club members (but would need to act/confirm quickly).

Please contact Dave Wood on 07860 524416 or call in to the RBYC to talk to an RS Elite fleet member.
