It is with regret that our film night next Friday 7th has been cancelled.
Unfortunately due to the film license cost, we have to have sufficient numbers to justify the spend and we simply haven’t had enough bookings.
Apologies to those who were hoping to come.
Bingo Night will run as planned the following week.
Crouch Yacht Club Nutcracker starts tomorrow2nd December at 11am from the Burnham Sailing Club line . Local Handicap and declare spinnaker or non spinnaker. Three races next three Sundays
Well thats it folks. The last race in the autumn series 2018 and what better way to finish of this series than with a fantastic lunch and prizegiving. So a big thankyou to everyone who took part, to everyone who helped out in the racebox and galley and to our wonderful chefs who prepared and cooked the lunch today. Last of all well done Mantra and Exile.
Here are our upcoming socials in December….
Friday 7th December; Film Night – Elf.
We will be holding another film night as requested by lots of adults & children. Elf was the winning film.
As before, we will have ‘meal deals’ available on pre order. Hot dog, drink & popcorn for £3. Please email me on email@example.com to book.
Christmas jumper / PJ’s are most welcome! And as before, you’re welcome to bring a bean bag, floor cushion – or anything else you’d prefer to sit on.
Friday 14th December; Family Bingo Night
We will be holding a Bingo Night suitable for all the family. There will be lots of prizes – although no cash prizes as it has to cater for the under 18’s. A cash bingo will be held next year.
£2 per person. Please book in advance by emailing me on firstname.lastname@example.org
Saturday 29th December; Icicle Race & Lunch
Blow off the cobwebs and join us for a frosty sail (or stay in the warm and watch those brave enough to head out on the water!).
Sailing will be followed by a warm lunch, hot mulled drinks and mince pies.
Pop the date in your diary – further details to follow.
Decorating the club!
We have decided to make the club festive by decorating it from top to toe!
We have a tree and would love it if the children could make decorations to hang on it.
Get out that glitter and glue and channel your inner Blue Peter!
We will be in the club this Friday (30th) decorating from 5pm if you would like to drop off your creations then, or alternatively bring them along to the Film Night to drop off 🙂
And finally – some of our posters say “Junior Winter Socials” – this is because we were asked to continue our Junior Fridays through the winter with a few socials. However, all the socials are, of course, open to ALL members of the club 🙂
Hope to see you all soon!
Your Social Team;
Liz T, Liz F, Fiona & our glamorous assistant Marcus 😉
I made 90 sailcloth poppies for our sailors to wear this weekend during their Feva Training at BSC.
They proudly wore their poppies and observed the silence at 11am for those who bravely fought for our country.
I am pleased to say that with genorous donations, we raised a fantastic £92.70 for The Royal British Legion.
Huge thanks to those who donated and a special thank you to Ian Gray for donating the cloth.
Just a quick reminder that it’s the film night at the club tonight, The Greatest Showman.
Everyone welcome. Entry free.
Arrive from 5.45pm, film starts at 6.30pm.
Obviously we have lots of chairs in the club but you’re most welcome to bring a ‘comfy’ chair if you wish – a beanbag, an inflatable chair etc..!!
See you all later!
