Junior Sailing – important dates

Just to let everyone know there will be NO JUNIOR SAILING on 24th August & 31st August due to Burnham Week events. 

There is sailing as normal this Friday 17th, and sailing will resume on Friday 7th September. 

Saturday 8th September is our Junior Regatta Day – all juniors are invited – there will be fun & games for all and racing for both our older and younger sailors (there will even be a little race for those new to the optimist). More info to follow but pop the date in your diary.

Quay Day – Monday 27th August

For those needing to travel in to Burnham, catch the train from Wickford at 11.36am, arrive at 12.01, where you can walk to Riverside park (approx 10 minutes), enjoy a picnic and join

in the fun. Take a leisurely stroll along the quay with many stalls, games, competitions and entertainment.

Return rail ticket prices £5 per adult and £1 per child –

Burnham Week 2018

There is just over two weeks to go before the fun starts.  Many boats have entered already so join in, get your entry in without further delay.  Entry is very simple via www.burnhamweek.com.

All classes catered for including dinghies (bank holiday dinghy regatta and the Wednesday evening John Torrance Trophy), IRC, Class5 (cruisers with spinnaker), Class 6 (cruisers without spinnaker), sports boats, one designs ……….

Burnham Week 2018 Protest Committee

As part of the club’s commitment to Burnham Week, we are on protest duty on the Monday and Thursday of Burnham Week. We need to provide two committees each time, so need 6 volunteers per day.. if you can help please email me by Friday with your preferred day, mobile phone number so that you can be contacted if required, and if you feel able to chair a committee please indicate this too.
