The “Commodore’s Cruise” will go ahead this Sunday 11th June.
We plan to go to North Fambridge, departing BSC around 11am.
High water (Burnham) is 14:23 so up on the flood and home on the ebb. Thankfully the very windy weather we have had over the past couple of days looks like it will subside a little (av 11kts gusting 15kts). All welcome but recommended that dinghy sailors are competent (it is quite a long way for small dinghies). Volunteer and a RIB will act as safety.
This Friday, in addition to our normal junior training, we will be running a cake stall to help raise money towards the Burnham Belles. This is a group of ladies, many of which are members, who will be doing the Moonwalk on Saturday night to raise money for Breast Cancer charities.
Please come and support this fantastic cause whilst watching our youngest sailors on the water. All members and their friends welcome.
Donations of cakes also needed please contact Fiona on email@example.com if you are able to help donate a cake, or you can drop off from 4pm on Friday.
There will be a work party at the BSC on Saturday April 1st.
There are a lot of jobs to do inside and outside to get the club ready for the sailing season. Please come along -it is very sociable and a great way to “bond” with YOUR club, be sociable and maybe meet some new fellow club members. Refreshments (tea, coffee, bacon butties and maybe an odd doughnut or two) provided.
Many hands make light work so please help out – it would be great to see some new faces as well as the “old faithful’s”.
Start time 9.30am (put some general tools in the boot of your car if you have any).
A note on the pontoon – we are working hard to get this sorted and are aiming to have it done by the start of the sailing season. I will report in more details soon.
